Christ the bread of life, descended from heaven
We want to share with you a little meditation on the Eucharist.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
As the Lord loved His own, so He loved them to the end.
To give them a pledge of their love, never to leave their own, and to share in their Passover,
he instituted the Eucharist in memory of his death and resurrection.
We come to the table just like the disciples in Jerusalem to receive the body and blood of Christ.
We can read the Bible Luk 22:7-20 and we can meditate on this great mystery.
Catechism gives us the command of Jesus to repeat what he did and said, until he comes.
It doesn't just require us to remember Jesus and what he did.
It means that the apostles and their followers will celebrate the memory of Christ and his life,
his death, his resurrection, and his intercession for us with the Father.
We celebrate together with deep joy. It is important to participate actively in the celebration of the Eucharist, each in our own way,
for example through readings, prayers, offerings, etc.
Thank you Lord for nourishing us with the body and blood of Christ.
We say, "I am not worthy of you to go under my roof, but say only one word, and my soul will be healed."
We pray for those who are sick with corona virus, health professionals and those affected.
We believe and we do everything to make our immune system strong, so your whole church can gather and celebrate the Passover meal.
We pray for all the priests who represent Christ Himself so that your church can live with the sacraments and we can be resurrected with Christ.
Amen

Herre, gi mitt hjerte ro.
